Areas of Disaster in need of a Heavenly Housing Home

Areal pictures of the tornado destruction of Greensburg, Kansas are on page 4.

November 2006 UPDATE:
We hoped to find significant changes to the area in 6 months- and there were some- but for the most part the residential areas of the coastal communities are unchanged. In fact, even commercial buildings along the beach are mostly unchanged. We have added photos- please take a look at the album. And remember- Katrina came ashore in August of 2005!

We are all painfully aware of the destruction of the major cities and towns along the Gulf coast since hurricane Katrina!

We all watched the New Orleans flooding.

What most of us cannot get our minds wrapped around is the complete devastation of so many of the smaller communities.

Nearly one year later, the landscape of these small towns is barren. Most structures are gone and all that is left is the beautiful sandy ground littered with household debris and memories.

These areas will only rebuild and restore with the efforts of the people- volunteers- willing to give of their time and talents!  Won't you help by donating towards the lodging of these great people? Please donate through our home page!

The album contains photos from May of 06 and November of 06 of coastal Mississippi. Mississippi took the brunt of Katrina's wind and storm surge in August of 2005. Also aerial photos of Greensburg, Kansas have been added from May 2007 tornado damage.
